A group of Wall Street billionaires is planning a fundraiser for Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley in New York City after the New Hampshire primary, Bloomberg News reported.
Billionaires Stanley Druckenmiller, Henry Kravis, Ken Langone and Cliff Asness are reportedly planning a fundraiser for Haley on January 30th. according to the invitation Viewed by Bloomberg. Donors told the outlet on condition of anonymity that the event was just part of a slew of fundraisers planned for Haley during the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries.
Donors told Bloomberg that after a January 30 fundraiser in New York, Haley plans to travel to Miami and Palm Beach, Fla., to meet with wealthy donors. She will then travel to California and Texas during the first two weeks of February, where she will meet with additional donors, officials said.
Bloomberg reported that tickets to the New York City fundraising event start at $3,300 and can be purchased for up to $33,200. Bloomberg noted that PacNews first reported on the fundraiser.
The Hill has reached out to Haley's camp for comment.
Haley's campaign announced earlier this month that Haley raised $24 million in the fourth quarter of last year. The campaign said 83,900 new people donated to her between October and December, bringing her total in the bank to $14.3 million by the end of 2023.
The political arm of billionaire Charles Koch's conservative network endorsed Haley last year, marking the first time the well-funded group has endorsed a Republican candidate in a Republican primary.
Haley is the only Republican challenger to former President Trump after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Sunday that he was withdrawing from the race. She is hoping to pull off an upset in this week's New Hampshire primary, where she trails Mr. Trump by about 11 points, according to Hill/Decision Desk headquarters.
