CLAIM: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) said during Tuesday night's vice presidential debate that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris' mobile app for migrants at the southern border “has been planned since 1990. ' he claimed.
Verdict: False. The CBP One mobile app, developed by the Biden-Harris administration, allows tens of thousands of migrants living in Mexico to schedule appointments at the border in hopes of being released into the U.S. interior.
During the exchange, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), former President Donald Trump's running mate, discussed how the CBP One mobile app would work, including how the country's historic defection He detailed the mechanisms that facilitate the parole pipeline despite the process.
“There is an application called the CBP One app that allows people to continue their activities as undocumented immigrants, apply for asylum, apply for parole, and be granted legal status with the wave of Kamala Harris' open borders wand,” Vance said.

In response, Walz claimed that “those laws have been on the books since 1990,” but Vance said, “The CBP One app hasn't been on the books since 1990. It was created by Kamala Harris. ” he said.
In fact, the Immigration Mobile App was released in January 2023.
Since the launch of the immigration mobile app, the Biden-Harris administration has admitted approximately 813,000 immigrants. Those arriving via the app primarily come from Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico and Haiti.
