Quinten Post Signs Offer Sheet with Memphis Grizzlies
Restricted free agent Quinten Post has inked a three-year, $30 million contract offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies, as reported by NBA insider Shams Charania.
The Golden State Warriors have until Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. ET to respond to this offer. Although, with Memphis making such a substantial offer, it seems quite unlikely they will match it.
Post just wrapped up the 2025-26 season, averaging 7.7 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, while shooting 44% from the field and 33.6% from three-point range. He has played a significant role for the Warriors, placing them in a tricky spot.
The Warriors could choose to match the Grizzlies’ offer, but that would likely mean overpaying for his services. On the other hand, letting him go would create a noticeable gap in their roster.
Selected 52nd overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, Post has spent the last two seasons as a rotation player for the Warriors. Should Golden State not respond by the deadline, he will have an opportunity to take on a starting role with the Grizzlies.
Meanwhile, the Warriors have already re-signed center Kristaps Porzingis and forward Al Horford, which offers little room for flexibility in signing Post. Additionally, they are reportedly among six finalists vying for LeBron James, further complicating their financial situation.
It seems increasingly likely that Post will join Memphis, where he would team up with No. 3 overall pick Cam Boozer. The Grizzlies are in the midst of reworking their roster, having traded star guard Ja Morant to the Polish Trail Blazers in exchange for Jerami Grant and Chris Murray.
Post appears to be the latest piece in their rebuilding strategy.
