Whitney Webb Examines Epstein and Maxwell
Whitney Webb, an author and researcher, has delved deeply into the lives of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Her findings have taken shape in a comprehensive 1,000-page book that explores the troubling connections between intelligence agencies and organized crime surrounding Epstein.
Webb describes the situation as a “meta-scandal,” noting that many individuals were significantly involved, perhaps more than people realize. On the “Glenbeck Podcast,” she commented, “He was central to many scandals, but not necessarily leading them.” This piqued host Glenn Beck’s curiosity, raising the question, “Was he a spy?”
“There’s certainly an intellectual link, and there are many indicators to support that,” Webb reflects, mentioning Alex Acosta’s early ties to Epstein during Trump’s presidency. Yet, she poses questions about the nature of Epstein’s associations. “Was he an asset? Was he on a payroll? Which intelligence agency was involved?” Her inquiries highlight the complex relationships Epstein had, particularly given Maxwell’s father’s connections to various intelligence organizations.
Despite Epstein’s notoriety in America, especially following his controversial death, Webb believes she’s one of the few who genuinely understand who he was and what transpired. “There’s a strange silence around the core aspects of the Epstein case,” she reveals. Her extensive research illustrates that many people are unaware of the full extent of Epstein’s connections.
Webb compares the scandal to major events, like the BCCI scandal or Iran-Contra, stating that while people may be familiar with the names, they often lack understanding of the implications.
Times have changed since Epstein’s era. “We think we’ve moved away from the sexual intimidation tactics he employed, but now there’s electronic intimidation. Even if you’re innocent, they can plant misleading information on your device,” she explains. Reflecting on historical justifications, she notes that the practices that began during World War I have never fully ceased.
