Washington coach Karen DeBoer is reportedly being seriously considered to replace Alabama's Nick Saban. If that's true and he's trying to keep it a secret, he's not doing a great job.
DeBoer canceled a scheduled interview with KJR in Seattle on Friday, as rumors about college football coaches spiral out of control.
“To all Husky fans, we hope you were looking forward to your visit with Coach DeBoer this morning. Please know that Coach DeBoer and University of Wisconsin Athletics continue to work towards a future that we are all excited about. At this time, “The coach will not be joining us this morning, but we will reschedule the interview soon,” the radio station posted on X.

DeBoer's eventual announcement as Alabama's head coach is almost certain.
“I would be pretty surprised if Washington's Karen DeBoer is not Alabama's next head coach at this point,” FOX Sports 1 analyst Joel Klatt wrote.
Taking over Saban's reign will not be easy. The former Tide coach won six national championships at the University of Alabama, cementing his place in the minds of many as the greatest college football coach of all time.

DeBoer, who is 23 years younger than Saban, joined a relatively lackluster University of Washington program more than two years ago, but played in this year's national championship game after winning the Pac-12.
However, if he wins the job at Alabama, DeBoer will be expected to win his conference and play in the national championship game every year, as Saban has done many times before.
Oregon State's Dan Lanning and Florida State's Mike Norvell have also been mentioned as candidates, but both have said they intend to return to their respective schools.
