According to a new analysis from Fox News Digital, President Biden has called Vice President Harris “President” at least five times during his term.
Harris, who was seen as a possible Democratic contender after Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, appeared to get her own title wrong while speaking at a tribute to the late Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas on Thursday.
“It was Sheila Jackson Lee who introduced the bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday. I was proud to co-sponsor that bill as a United States Senator. And then as President and Vice President…“ Harris quickly corrected herself, adding, “With the president, with the president.”
Biden made similar gaffes multiple times over the years before withdrawing from the race.

In March 2021, Biden referred to his counterpart as “the president” while speaking about COVID-19 vaccines.
“Recently, President Harris and I virtually toured a vaccination center in Arizona, and one of the nurses who was giving shots and administering the vaccine during our tour commented that with every shot, it’s like an infusion of hope,” Biden said.
“President Harris is proud to be a Howard University graduate,” Biden said during a speech at South Carolina State University later in 2021.

Biden made a similar gaffe during a speech in Georgia.
“Last week, President Harris and I stood at the United States Capitol and observed one of those before and after moments in American history: the January 6th insurrection against the bastion of our democracy,” the president said in January 2022.

Later in October 2022, Biden congratulated Harris during a White House event, saying, “Happy birthday to a great president.”
Biden later used the same word to describe his vice president in remarks on immigration.

“President Harris led this effort, she led the effort to improve the conditions in the countries they are leaving,” Biden said at the White House in March 2023.

Harris is expected to be nominated as the Democratic candidate at the Democratic National Convention in August.
