For all the misfortune and chaos that 2020 brought, at least one good thing came out of it: Netflix’s smash hit Tiger King 2 captivated Americans with its quirky cast and big cat drama. The show garnered nearly 35 million views in the first 10 days after its release, but the public largely distanced itself from Joseph Maldonado after the show’s star, Joe Exotic, was jailed for soliciting murder.
But in 2023, Exotic re-emerged in the public discussion when he announced his intention to run for president in 2024. Though his campaign failed earlier this year, he’s still keeping a close eye on the race.

“Were you hoping for the VP position?” Dave asked Joe.
“I would like a cabinet position,” Exotic replied, adding that he would like to be “director of the Fish and Wildlife Service.”
“Other than yourself, who is your favorite candidate right now?” Dave asked next.
“We have to put Trump in there because Harris will kill us. She and Biden have been there for almost four years. … We have hundreds of military bases all over the world under attack by us and we’re not doing anything about it. We’re in the middle of Ukraine, we’re in the middle of this Israeli nonsense. Russia, China, Iran, ISIS, and they’re going to overpower her. There’s no way they’re going to take her seriously,” Exotic blasted.
“Do you think it’s weird that Biden suddenly resigns and out of nowhere we’re being forced to believe that? [Kamala Harris] “Was Kamala always the right person for the job?” Dave asked, pointing out rumors that Kamala had been hired by DEI.
“I don’t think she was always someone who would run for office. [Biden] “He really wanted to do it himself. I think old age caught up with him faster than he thought it would. I think the only reason she was chosen as the nominee is because she’s black and she’s a woman.”
“It doesn’t matter what they’re trying to achieve, whether it’s fixing the economy or world peace or whatever. All they care about is having a black woman as president,” Exotic explained, ” [prison]”Trump is getting all the black votes”
“There is not a single inmate here who supports Harris or Biden. She has spent half her life putting black people in prison who can’t afford to fight,” he continued, noting that Harris and Biden’s “prison reform” promises have not come to fruition.
“Is drug reform their biggest issue? Or is prison reform what they want most?” Dave continued.
“We live like river rats. Mold, broken equipment, electrical problems. We’re 300 years old. [people] “They have six, seven, eight toilets in the hospital… the food is awful, the medical care is awful,” Exotic said, adding, “There are more drugs here than in the entire city of Wynnewood, Oklahoma.”
“My goal when I get out of here is to testify before Congress about what’s going on here,” he told Dave.
Regarding his support for Trump, Exotic said, [he’s] “One thing we’ve heard for a long time from Trump is that if he becomes president, he’s going to close the detention centers and the rehabilitation centers and send everybody home. Because if you qualify to go to a detention center, you can go home and work and provide for your family. Stop making taxpayers pay for this.”
