Self-driving cars parked in a San Francisco parking lot caused a traffic jam and started honking at each other at 4 a.m., waking up locals. Many report that pre-dawn traffic jams caused by self-driving cars are a common occurrence.
A San Francisco, California resident reportedly captured a driverless car honking its horn in the middle of the night in a nearby parking lot. Report From BBC News.
The video shows more than 30 self-driving cars starting honking their horns, some of which were moving slowly and appeared to be stuck in traffic.

Waymo, Google’s self-driving car project, said the honking was a feature designed to prevent self-driving cars from crashing.
The company told CBS News it has since updated the software that causes the vehicles to honk their horns.
Waymo said its electric vehicles “should reduce noise pollution for neighbors in the future.”
This isn’t the first time Waymo’s driverless cars have caused controversy.
As Breitbart News reported, a Waymo driverless vehicle was stopped by police in Phoenix, Arizona in June after it was running out of control in traffic. Caught on Camera.
Waymo blamed the accident on construction in the city, said construction signs were inconsistent and that a police officer blocked its self-driving car, causing the vehicle to block oncoming traffic.
