In less than two weeks after injuring her ACL, Lindsey Vonn is set to participate in her first event at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The women’s downhill skiing event is scheduled for today, February 8th, where Vonn will take part in the final after completing two practice runs over the last couple of days. This will mark her final downhill race at the Olympics, and she is expected to finish in 13th place.
Vonn, who is 41, injured her ACL on January 30 while competing in her last downhill race before the Olympics. She later revealed that her ACL was “completely gone.” However, she managed to qualify for today’s final by completing at least one practice run while wearing a knee brace.
Vonn will also take part in the super-G event on February 12, which will serve as the conclusion of her Olympic career.
