The Los Angeles Dodgers, reigning champions, edge ahead in the NLCS after clinching Game 1 against the Milwaukee Brewers, primarily due to Blake Snell’s impressive performance, which included 10 strikeouts.
An unusual moment in the game involved a strange 8-6-2 double play. Center fielder Sal Frelich initially caught the ball, but then fumbled it. He quickly tossed it to shortstop Joey Ortiz, who then relayed it to catcher William Contreras, successfully tagging out Teoscar Hernandez at home.
Despite the unconventional double play that created some confusion, the Dodgers came out on top with a score of 2-1.
Looking ahead, Game 2 is scheduled for October 14th at 8:08 PM ET at American Family Field in Milwaukee. It will be broadcast on TBS, TruTV, and HBO Max, with streaming available through DIRECTV, which offers a free trial.
After Game 2, the series will shift to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4.
