The women’s slopestyle finals at the 2026 Olympics are happening this morning, February 9, with Irene Gu as a top medal contender despite her early exit from the qualifiers.

Slopestyle is a freestyle skiing event that features a defined course with six sections, including jumps and rails. Competitors are judged not just on their tricks but also on their overall performance. The 12 skiers who made it to the finals will have three runs, with the best score out of 100 determining their final position.

Mathilde Gremaud from Switzerland, who clinched gold in 2022, is back for the finals, joined by silver medalist and American Irene Gu, who competes for China. Estonian skier Kerry Sildar, a bronze winner in 2022, unfortunately did not qualify this time.
