Competing in four events in Milan, Stolz kicks things off with today’s 1000m race, where she currently holds the world record.

The world record for the men’s 1000 meters is currently held by Jordan Stolz at 1:05.37, a time set on January 26, 2024. This record surpassed the previous time of 1:05.69.

The Olympic record for this event has been held since 2002 by Dutch skater Gerard van Velde, clocking in at 1:07.18, which is notably slower.
