This season, the Texas A&M Aggies are on a quest to achieve something they haven’t accomplished in 86 years.

Currently, Marcel Reed’s third-ranked team boasts an unblemished 8-0 record as they head into Week 11 of the 2025 season. The last time the College Station-based team ended a season undefeated was back in 1939, when they finished 11-0 and claimed the national champion title by the Associated Press.

Will they make history this time around?

The outcome of their upcoming game against the Missouri Tigers on November 8 at Fowlow Field in Columbia, Missouri, may play a significant role in that. However, the 19th-ranked Tigers face a tough challenge, especially with their star quarterback, Beau Pribula, out due to a dislocated ankle sustained in a narrow 17-10 loss to Vanderbilt.

Freshman Matt Zollers is set to take over as the starting signal caller. In his previous game against Vandy, he successfully completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and one touchdown.

“He has a great mentality,” said Eli Drinkwitz, the Tigers’ head coach. “He reminds me of a gunslinger or maybe a fighter pilot. He has confidence in himself, knows what he wants to achieve, and possesses the arm strength to make all the throws.”
