The New York Liberty are heading to the WNBA In-Season Tournament title game for the third time in four years.

With a flawless 6-0 record in the qualifying rounds, they’ve secured a spot in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship, facing off against the Las Vegas Aces. This matchup is a repeat of the 2023 Championship, which the Liberty won.

The Aces will be at a disadvantage, as star player Aja Wilson is sidelined due to a leg injury.

What is the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup?

The WNBA Commissioner’s Cup is an in-season tournament that includes some regular season games contributing to overall records as well as tournament standings. All 15 teams participate, playing 6-7 games against others in their division.

Games played from June 1 to June 17 contribute to the Cup standings, determining which top teams will compete in the championship.
