Ways to watch the NASCAR Coca Cola 600 for free: Schedule, participants, streaming options

For the first time in its 77-year history, NASCAR will present a race that airs solely on streaming platforms.

This shift comes thanks to a contract made with Prime Video, allowing the service to exclusively stream five races each season, starting with the Coca-Cola 600.

The Coca-Cola 600 is held annually at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina and is notable for its unique track conditions. It begins in daylight and concludes under the stars. This race spans 600 miles, which equates to 400 laps divided into four segments of 100 laps each.

Interestingly, today also marks the Indy 500. NASCAR driver Kyle Larson is attempting to participate in both events—he raced in the Indy 500 at 12:45 p.m. ET and managed to get to Charlotte by 6 p.m. for the Coca-Cola 600. He made a similar attempt last year but missed the race in Charlotte due to rain delays after finishing 18th at the Indy 500.

Besides today’s race, the streaming deal covers the next four races over the following four weeks before the NASCAR events transition to TNT. Ahead of this first race, Prime Video also released “Earnhart,” a new documentary series focusing on Dale Earnhardt, a significant figure in racing history.
