‘We Are Officially a Banana Republic’

Self-awareness was in short supply on Monday as left-leaning Hollywood celebrities panicked over a federal court’s decision to dismiss a “documents” lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, with many stars arguing that the ruling marks a politicization of the justice system.

In their blistering denunciations, there was no mention of the Biden administration’s efforts to weaponize the judiciary to attack former President Donald Trump and undermine his chances of retaking the White House in November. Many of the same notables welcomed the recent loafer indictments against Trump, and some even hope he goes to prison.

Stars were in no remorseful mood on Monday, decrying a Florida federal court’s decision to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Biden administration appointee Jack Smith against the 45th president.

“We are witnessing the beginning of the end of the rule of law in America,” Rob Reiner wrote, without a hint of irony.

“We’re officially a banana republic,” HBO’s wire Actor Wendell Pierce noted that the judge who dismissed the case was a Trump appointee, writing:

“Appoint a judge and you get away with crime,” CBS Charlie Sheen Harper ★ Boys star Jon Cryer pointed out.

As reported by Breitbart News, Judge Eileen Cannon on Monday dismissed the prosecution of former President Donald Trump in the “Documents” case, ruling that special counsel Jack Smith was not appointed in a constitutional or lawful manner.

Judge Cannon ruled that Smith, who had not been confirmed by the U.S. Senate and was not a federal prosecutor at the time of his appointment, could not lawfully bring charges against Trump in federal court.

Trump has long maintained that the documents were not “stolen,” as news organizations have repeatedly asserted, because, as president, he had full authority to declassify the documents stored at his Mar-a-Lago home at the center of the scandal.

The ruling marks a major victory for the man who is set to become the GOP presidential nominee on the first day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

The decision sparked almost unanimous outrage from Hollywood stars.

Rob Reiner led the parade, calling for “the rule of law in America.”

Comedian Kathy Griffin used the ruling to insult the country’s founding fathers.

Disney Hocus Pocus 3 Hopeful Bette Midler also lamented the verdict.

Horror novelist Stephen King was more pessimistic.

HBO wire Star Wendell Pierce proclaims that the country is “now officially a banana republic.”

CBS Charlie Sheen Harper ★ Boys Star Jon Cryer also played the politicization card.

Mia Farrow called the verdict “shocking.”

Netflix Grace and Frankie Actor Ethan Embry predicted that Judge Cannon would be appointed Attorney General.

splash and Kill Bill Actress Daryl Hannah asked the appeals court to overturn the decision.

Comedian DL Hughley wasn’t too amused by the verdict.
