Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Wednesday on MSNBC's “all-in” that the Trump administration is taking America to a “tip point.”
“So I think there's a turning point where you can't regain your democracy. And I think I'm all of these very intentional efforts that the Trump administration and Elon Musk are taking.” I'm watching. And I think we just need to be there right now. And what I'm seeing is the right thing: normalizing violence. Thinking about you going out to protest. When you're doing that, you don't think you can underestimate how influential it is, and you might be beaten by someone who is immune to violence in the name of Trump.”
He added: “I don't think we can underestimate the impact of what's going on in our media infrastructure. The main platform is either direct control or impact of management. And what you're looking at now is the government. This is an attempt to gain funding. Therefore, Elon Musk and Donald Trump can pay your grant to primary schools if they don't swear Donald Trump's political status or your loyalty. Mom's Social Security Check. If she goes online and says something critical of Elon Musk and Donald Trump, that is, if we don't stop this immediately, we trust in the not too distant future. I think it's going to be difficult to make political opposition that can be done, so this is the moment for me.”
