‘We Should All Be Scared’ if Trump Elected — Our Freedoms Are at Stake

Vice President Kamala Harris said Wednesday on ABC's “The View” that “we should all be scared” because former President Donald Trump's re-election would put our freedoms at risk. .

Harris said, “I think most people don't think of democracy in the context of democracy rather than freedom: the freedom for women to make decisions about their own bodies, the freedom to love who they love openly and with pride; The freedom to be free from gun violence – these are fundamental freedoms that are currently at stake.”

She went on to say, “Right now we have a former president running for office who has vowed to become, in effect, a dictator.'' “He's proud of taking away the right to make decisions about his own body. This is a man running for commander in chief who admits he intends to weaponize the Department of Justice.”

Co-host Joy Behar said, “President Obama reportedly said he thinks the Biden campaign is too complacent when it comes to Trump.'' Representative Jim Klibañas said the campaign is a MAGA Michelle Obama said she's scared, like the rest of us, about the potential outcome of the election. Now, are you scared? What if Trump does it again? What happens when you become president? So what are you going to do to stop the madness?”

“I'm just scared,” Harris said. “That's why I travel this country. You know, there's an old saying that says there are only two ways to run for office: Either you're out of opposition, or you're scared. So in all these respects, yes, we should all be afraid.”

She added, “But as we know, and certainly, this is a table of very powerful women. We don't run away when we're scared of something. We don't run away from it. Fight back. Right. Yeah. Did you know that many of us, when we're worried about our children's future, just lie in bed with the covers over our heads? No. No, we can't. We can't. We can't. And , this is where President Biden and I, and all of us who are part of this administration, need to win re-election, rightly so in this election. There's no question.”
