On Thursday, New York Attorney General Letitia James stated that her office is fully prepared to initiate legal action against President Donald Trump, speaking on MSNBC.
“We engaged with the community to discuss the impacts of our cases, all of which we’ve won. I want you and your audience to understand that we’re ready for this moment,” James noted.
She added, “We’re set to address birthright citizenship right within 24 hours of any illegal executive order. We are also evaluating if the U.S. Supreme Court is looking at specific issues, and whether lower courts can issue national injunctions.”
“It’s crucial to uphold the rule of law and democracy, and to challenge those who are undermining these unlawful executive orders that overstep President Trump’s authority,” James emphasized.
