Week 11 NFL Survivor pool plan featuring reliable, valuable, and risky selections

NFL Survivor Pool Update: Week 11 Insights

Alright, let’s dive in. If you’re still in the NFL Survivor Pool as we hit Week 10, congrats! But it’s tough out there. The Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers took unexpected losses, significantly shrinking the survivor pool. The Bills got beat badly by the struggling Dolphins, and the Panthers couldn’t pull off a win at home against the underperforming Saints. I had considered the Bills a solid choice last week, and they, along with the Panthers, were among the most picked teams across many pools.

As we look toward Week 11, four teams are projected to win by a touchdown or more. The Patriots are strong favorites with a 13-point lead at home against the Jets. The Ravens are favored by 7.5 points on the road against the Browns, while the Packers and Texans are also touchdown favorites away against the Giants and Titans, respectively.

Reflecting on last week’s Survivor advice, I didn’t mention the Bills as a pick, but instead highlighted the Lions as a safer choice and the Broncos offering good value. The Seahawks had a straightforward victory over the Cardinals, though the Falcons kept their contest against the Colts tighter than expected.

Despite giving the Titans a hard time, it hasn’t quite backfired yet, so I’ll keep that going.

These picks are likely to be popular, but I’ve noticed that in at least one of my pools, many people are already leaning on them. A short week raises some concerns, which is why a lot of folks tend to avoid Thursday Night Football games. Last week, the Broncos edged out a win, and there’s a divisional match coming up in Week 11. I’m leaning toward TNF for the second week in a row, though I’m not sure if that’ll pay off.

Upcoming Matchups

  • Packers vs. Giants
  • Steelers vs. Bengals

The Packers haven’t performed well lately and now face a lesser Giants team. It has a sense of being a comeback game, but there are certainly some warning signs. The Giants have made a coaching change, firing Brian Daboll and putting Mike Kafka in as the interim head coach. Russell Wilson has been benched, with Jameis Winston taking the lead, though Jackson Dart remains out. Honestly, it might be best to steer clear of this game.

As for the Steelers, I think they’ll likely take the win, but it doesn’t feel solid. The Bengals are struggling, yet Joe Flacco is keeping things interesting. I’m considering picking Pittsburgh for one of my remaining entries, but I’m not too confident about it.
