Thanksgiving Week in the NFL
Thanksgiving week has arrived! This means an exciting tripleheader in the NFL. On Thursday, the Lions will take on the Packers, the Cowboys will face the Chiefs, and the Ravens will go up against the Bengals. As for Sunday, it’s a bit lighter, with the Eagles playing the Bears in Philadelphia on Black Friday.
This week features two teams favored by double digits. The Seahawks are heading into the Vikings as 11.5-point favorites, while the Rams are looking at a 10.5-point advantage against the Panthers. Beyond that, three other matchups show at least a touchdown favorite.
Last week saw few surprises. The Texans managed to beat the Bills, which, given Buffalo’s recent performances, might not be too shocking. The Chiefs also secured a victory at home against the Colts, though KC was still favored despite their struggles. Perhaps the biggest shock came when the Cowboys triumphed over the Eagles.
It was a relatively calm week, so my survivor pool picks didn’t go awry. The Rams and Packers had straightforward wins, meaning my risky picks didn’t pan out. The Survivor pool seems to have maintained stability from the previous week, so let’s move on to our Week 13 choices.
If you haven’t played the Seahawks yet, this week would be your chance. It’s a preferable matchup compared to their game against the Panthers in Week 17.
Dolphins over Saints
Rams over Panthers
While the Dolphins aren’t a strong team, the Saints, frankly, are struggling even more. This could confuse some and leave good options for others. However, for those looking to get through this week, Miami might just work.
Thinking ahead, you might consider LA in Week 18 if you feel the need, though I’m not sure how effective they’ll be by then. The Panthers are tough, but after their performance last week, it’s hard to have faith in them. Many might lean towards the Chargers, so perhaps looking at another LA team could be wise.
Chargers Against Raiders
Patriots vs. Giants
I’m feeling tempted to pick the Chargers, but they’ve struggled to maintain the momentum from their strong season start. Considering their upcoming opponents, this might be our last week with them, which puts me in a bit of a quandary.
Jackson Dart is expected to return for this matchup, which makes the Patriots vs. Giants game intriguing. New England is on a roll and should secure a win, yet Dart adds an unpredictable element to the mix.
