Welcome to a lucky week 13 of the NFL season. After a horrible start to the season, the fantasy tight end has mostly recovered in the standings and is well on his way to the fantasy playoffs. The tight end who has made a big move recently is Jonnu Smith. dolphin Quick passing game. And over the past two games, he's been strong, catching 15 of 19 targets for 188 yards and three touchdowns. With this surge, Smith will be promoted to TE5 this season, and there's no reason to think he won't continue to have a fantasy workload that he can use to finish the season.
The No. 1 fantasy tight end of the season in PPR leagues is Brock Bowers, who made the leap in Week 11 with the departure of George Kittle. Kittle has eight touchdowns, so he should easily be the standard scorer. Bowers has 3 receptions, Bowers has 74 receptions and Kittle has 49 receptions.
Sophomore tight end Trey McBride completed 12 of 15 targets for 133 yards and surpassed Travis Kelce in fantasy points. Amazingly, he only had one touchdown all season, and it was a rushing touchdown. Still, he's still a TE3 in PPR this season. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce is starting to lose work to Noah Gray, who has scored an incredible four touchdowns in the last two games, while Kelce hasn't. After finishing TE3, TE2, and TE1 in PPR League Weeks 8-10, he finished TE38 and TE12 in the last two.
Week 13 is a tight end, bye.
Nothing, but next week there will be 6 so keep an eye out
Week 13 Tight End Injury
Jatavion Sanders, Panthers
Sanders suffered a severe neck injury in Week 12 against the Chiefs. He's been playing a little better in recent weeks, but it looks like he'll be out for a while. Tommy Tremble will be the leading tight end going forward, but he doesn't have fantasy appeal.
Jake Ferguson, Cowboys
Ferguson missed Week 12 with a concussion and is in danger of missing the game against the Giants on Thanksgiving. Luke Schoonmaker played well enough to have streaming value even if Ferguson couldn't return.
Noah Fant, Seahawks
Fant appeared to be close to returning from his groin injury last week, but was ultimately sidelined. Let's see if he can return this Sunday against the Jets.
Dalton Kincaid, Bills
The Bills' Week 12 bye should have given Kincaid enough time to recover from his knee injury. He's not a lock, but he should be able to handle opponents. 49ers on Sunday night.
Week 13 Tight End Sleeper
Taysom Hill, Saints vs. Rams
Hill is by no means a sleeper, but his inconsistency could be a concern. The good news is that the Saints still lack offensive playmakers due to injuries, so Hill will continue to get opportunities. We can't expect huge numbers from him even before the bye, but we know he'll have those kind of games, so he has to start in a weak position every week.
Noah Gray, Chiefs vs. Raiders
Certainly, recency bias will cloud Noah Gray's judgment. He now has two touchdown games in a row! We know that's not sustainable, but we also know that he caught four touchdowns in two games. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes went back to the well for a reason. Gray is good. Of course, he hasn't seen enough targets to be comfortable with a starting role, but the Raiders have been terrible against tight ends, allowing 36 receptions for 400 yards and six touchdowns in the last four games. Also, Travis Kelce is not what he used to be, and giving Gray more work will only help Kelce stay fresh for the playoffs, and at this point the Chiefs are hoping for a third straight Super Bowl win. I'm here.
