Week 3 NFL Survivor pool approach featuring secure, valuable, and risky selections

NFL Season Update: Early Surprises and Week 3 Matchups

The first couple of weeks of the NFL season have passed, and it seems like some patterns are beginning to emerge. One of the biggest surprises is the Chiefs starting off with two losses. The Buccaneers look like they might be a standout in the unpredictable NFC South. Meanwhile, the Bengals are sitting pretty at 2-0, although they’ve just lost Joe Burrow for about three months due to a toe injury.

As we head into Week 3, we have some intriguing matchups featuring the league’s undefeated teams. The Eagles will be hosting the Rams, and the 49ers will face the Cardinals—both games are crucial for maintaining their unblemished records. The Chiefs are hoping to turn things around when they face the 0-2 Giants, who nearly pulled off an upset against the Cowboys last week. It’s shaping up to be an exciting week of football.

Reflecting on the second week, I reconsidered my survivor pick. There were moments that made me nervous, but the Giants struggled against the Cowboys, while the Cardinals managed to keep the Panthers at bay. I’m looking at various options for Week 3—what’s safe, what’s valuable, what could be a trap. I participate in multiple survivor pools, so it gives me some flexibility. Last week, I thought I had a solid and valuable choice but was surprised by how easily the Bills handled the Jets.

Legislation Against Dolphins

Packer on the Browns

This week, the Dolphins are back home, and frankly, they haven’t been impressive. Upsets are always possible, but I haven’t seen that happen recently. The Browns are hosting the Packers, and while Cleveland has given the Ravens a bit of a challenge, they ultimately fell apart. I’m hoping for a competitive game, but the Packers do seem to have the upper hand.

Looking ahead, Seattle seems to have better chances this season, but I wonder about their next game. The Saints did manage to give the 49ers some trouble, but now they’ll be traveling west, which can be tough.

Jet Back

Panther’s Falcon

The Jets are in a bit of a predicament without Justin Fields. It looks like Tyrod Taylor is stepping in now. This upcoming game against the Buccaneers could either be a chance for a big win or a total flop. Their upcoming games within the division could be crucial, so taking a chance might be worth it—but it’s a bit risky.

As for the Falcons, I don’t really think I need to justify why Atlanta is a tricky pick this week. It’s just one of those situations you can sense.
