“Gutfeld!”: “Violent Canadian bride’s freedom denied”
The Gutfeld! panel discussed Caitlin Treacy, a Canadian woman accused of slapping a teenager dressed in pro-Trump attire at the Jersey Shore, which resulted in her being detained by ICE. Panelists voiced strong critiques of her actions, also addressing Canada’s apparent victim mentality.
As we dive into this Friday’s Screencaps edition, it’s hard not to notice the haze from the Canadian wildfires drifting by, reminiscent of smoke-filled venues back in the 1980s. It really makes you ponder just how far some fans will go to express their admiration for celebrities.
Take Paige Spiranac’s recent YouTube story, for instance. She recounted playing golf with Sarah Winter, a fellow influencer and former Miss Universe contestant from Canada. “A guy once asked me to sign his arm so he could get a tattoo of my name,” she recalled. “I told him, ‘No, that’s not a good idea,’ but he insisted. I ended up signing his arm right there.” An hour later, he returned with her signature tattooed on himself.
Liv Morgan made a splash by bringing the WWE title belt to Spy, and her outfit drew plenty of attention.
True story: There was once a guy who gained online fame for tattooing a brand logo on his head—his name was Billy Gibby. He was essentially selling advertising space on his body for a few bucks.
Back in those pre-kids, internet wild west days, it felt like nearly anything could happen online. I can’t recall exactly how much Billy was charging for his tattoo space, but it was something wild like $50-$75.
At that time, I was dating my now-wife. She firmly stated that if he got that tattoo on his head, she wouldn’t be able to handle it. So, I ended up telling Billy to pass on the offer.
Looking back now, I’m relieved I made that choice. At least I can comfort myself in knowing he doesn’t have a prison tattoo on his head, thanks to me.
As for Paige’s story? Just a signature. Nothing to lose sleep over.
It seems like it’s been a week full of ups and downs, despite being one of the quieter sports weeks. Still managed to find some vintage Screencaps moments to relish.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend filled with relaxation and a bit of fun.
