Senator Kennedy Criticizes Brennan and Comey

On Thursday, Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy expressed strong criticism of former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey during an appearance on Fox News with host Harris Faulkner. He described both as “not ethical people.”

Recently, CIA Director John Ratcliffe has brought attention to a criminal investigation involving Brennan and Comey related to allegedly making false statements to Congress, as reported. Kennedy stated that both individuals have played a significant role in contributing to the current tense political climate, appearing on “Faulkner Focus.”

“We have a lot of crazy people in America. They take politics really seriously, so if you oppose them, it’s not just about being wrong—you become a bad person,” Kennedy remarked. “We regret living in such a climate, but the two people who have played a part in creating it are James Comey and John Brennan.”

Brennan, in a recent MSNBC interview with Nicole Wallace, denied any wrongdoing, insisting he had stayed true to his role at the CIA and did not influence the 2016 election.

“I know Mr. Comey and Mr. Brennan,” Kennedy remarked to Faulkner, adding, “In my view, one of them probably wouldn’t even pass more than six of the ten commandments. They’re not particularly good or ethical people. I’ve known people who’ve worked closely with them.”

“What’s alarming is that they think they’re capable. I’d prefer hiring someone who salts fries at McDonald’s over either of them,” he continued, implying they consider themselves smarter and more integral than others, all influenced by their political beliefs.

Brennan was among numerous former intelligence officials who co-signed a letter in October 2020 suggesting the Russian information manipulation tactics were at play regarding certain reports on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptops.

“There’s a lot of arrogance from these guys in Washington,” Kennedy stated. “Lyndon Johnson used to say something about the arrogance of men. That’s exactly how Comey and Brennan come off. They have done more to erode public trust in the FBI and national intelligence than I can think of.”

Acknowledgments of some contents related to Hunter Biden’s laptop have been confirmed by various organizations, including The Washington Post and The New York Times, in reports dating back to March 2022 about the Department of Justice’s investigations into him.
