Dr. Wendy Osefo recently spoke out on social media following her and her husband, Edward “Eddie” Osefo’s, arrest on fraud charges.
On Sunday, the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star shared two photos of herself in a long black dress with a deep neckline on Instagram.
She wrote, “And no matter what, God remains faithful.”
Wendy expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, stating, “Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We will be forever grateful 🙏🏾.”
She wrapped up her message by encouraging fans to tune in for a new episode of the show that night on Bravo.
Fans quickly rallied around the mother-of-three, leaving comments like, “Hey Wendy!! Keep shining! You’re not going anywhere!! 👏🏾,” and “❤️❤️❤️ I love you and will always be with you and praying for you.”
Eddie also posted a family photo on his Instagram, captioning it with a quote from Proverbs, emphasizing trust in the Lord.
Both Wendy and Eddie, aged 41, were arrested earlier this month, facing multiple fraud charges. They spent a night at the Carroll County Detention Center and were released the following day after posting $100,000 bail.
Wendy faces 16 charges, including seven felonies related to insurance fraud, while Eddie has 18 charges, with nine being felonies.
Their charges originate from a reported home invasion in April 2024 where they claimed Wendy’s jewelry and designer bags were stolen while on vacation in Jamaica with their children.
During the investigation, authorities began to question the legitimacy of the reported robbery, a concern echoed by neighbors.
Additionally, Wendy was spotted wearing one of the rings that was purportedly stolen shortly after the incident.
Investigators found inconsistencies, including allegations that items claimed as stolen had already been returned for full refunds before the robbery notice was filed.
At the time of their arrest, authorities noted that the couple was experiencing significant debt.
After news of their arrests broke, a representative stated that they were safe and home with their family, while their attorney expressed confidence in their day in court.
Curiously, Wendy and Eddie had referenced the infamous Bonnie and Clyde on Instagram on the same day they reported the alleged robbery.
