WH Snubs Border Patrol Union Prez on Biden Border Trip, Trump Invites Him

On Tuesday, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre did not respond when asked why the White House had not invited leaders of the national Border Patrol union to attend President Joe Biden’s next border visit.

President Trump previously announced he would visit Eagle Pass, Texas, on Thursday to contrast his policies on border security with Biden’s failures. Mr. Biden later announced that he would visit Brownsville, Texas, on the same day as Mr. Trump’s visit.

Jean-Pierre noted that Judd supports the Senate-passed immigration and foreign aid bill, which Biden also supports. The bill included pay increases for Judd members.

“I can’t talk to him because he’s in Texas with the former president,” she said. “But that’s obviously something he’ll talk about. We’ll certainly be talking more as Thursday approaches.”
