What Am I Looking At? Check Out These Freakshow Outfits From Met Gala

Stars hit the 2024 Met Gala red carpet and turned it into a complete freak show.

I have never seen such a terrifying costume. And just the fact that these pretentious stars seem to be in awe of themselves makes me wonder about them even more. This year’s theme was “Garden of Time,” in conjunction with the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” I didn’t see any of it. But I don’t care about the weirdo who hired 10 guys to fluff her fluffy dress, the lazy singer who showed up wrapped in a real bath towel, and the one who put what looked like dead fish fins on her head. I found another performer that I posted above.

Cardi B is the star who needed her entire entourage to rock her oversized dress. It was way too pretentious and “flashy” to watch the men scatter to set her fashion statement, but I didn’t like her just because it wasn’t the biggest issue of the night. Ignore it.

Doja Cat decided to wear not one, but two equally bizarre “dresses” for this occasion. Her first look when she debuted was a wet towel dress that clung to her otherwise naked body, but as you might have guessed, it was see-through. And she decided to wear a towel dress held in her hands. She accentuated her look by wrapping a towel around her head as if she had just come out of a bath. She finished the look with intentionally dewy eye makeup.

Lizzo wore a dress with a weird fin-like headpiece and looked downright ugly. She looked like a walking dead fish and the internet never let her forget how epic her fashion fail was. (Related: Emma Stone’s dress rips at the worst possible time)

Amelia Gray Hamlin wore a stiff, sickly-looking terrarium dress that looked more like a fishbowl full of funeral flowers than a fashion-forward statement.

There were some stunners in attendance, but this group of hot messes took the cake.
