The fierce competition between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox is making a comeback in a significant way. For the first time since 2021, these two teams are set to face off in the postseason.
Beginning on Tuesday, September 30th, the American League East rivals will battle it out in a three-game Wild Card series at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

During the 2025 regular season, the Yankees (94-68) managed to outplay the Red Sox (89-73) only 13 times. Though Aaron Boone’s team had a slight edge, Boston ended up winning a significant number of games against New York, finishing 9-4 against them overall.

Judge, an MVP candidate, expressed gratitude towards their supportive fan base. “We’ve got a rough crowd that’s been backing us all year long,” he stated. “Even during tough times, they consistently showed up.
