Merab “Machine” Dvalishvili is set to face “Suga” Sean O’Malley for the second time in less than a year, following their first meeting in Las Vegas back in September 2024.
This bout, a bantamweight title match, will take place at Newark’s Prudential Center as part of UFC 316 on Saturday, June 7th.
When they clashed last year, Dvalishvili expressed that the match showcased impressive grappling, and it marked a transformative moment for both fighters. That match led to O’Malley’s eighth consecutive victory, concluding in just five minutes, which added a layer of complexity to their rivalry.
The 34-year-old Georgian-American fighter is gearing up for the rematch just days away from stepping back into the cage with O’Malley.
Dvalishvili took to Instagram, stating, “The final hard sparring session is ready now.”
