‘What Is Wrong with America?’ — They Chose ‘Xenophobia, Racism, Misogyny’

ABC News legal analyst Sunny Hostin said Friday on ABC's “The View” that there is something wrong with the United States because a majority voted for former President Donald Trump.

“I don't think so,” Hostin said. “I'd like to reframe the conversation. I think Bernie Sanders is wrong. The more relevant question is, what's wrong with America? An insurrectionist, an election denier, a twice-impeached and 34-time convicted felon, a man accused of sexual misconduct by 26 women and convicted of sexual crimes. What is wrong with this country in choosing and supporting candidates? What is wrong with this country, xenophobia, racism, rather than a message of inclusivity, by the people to the people? Choose messages that are misogynistic.”

Co-host Alyssa Farrar Griffin said, “It's not just Republicans. He won the popular vote.”

Hostin said, “What's wrong with America?”

“Democrats are the party that cares about blue-collar voters,” co-host Joy Behar said.

Hostin said, “That's right.”

“Democrats introduced Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, union protections, unemployment insurance, and Obamacare. Republicans won't tolerate a rat,” Behar said.

“They failed to convince voters,” Griffin said.
