What really happened to D.B. Cooper expert answers questions

On November 24, 1971, a mysterious man named DB Cooper hijacked a plane bound for Seattle, Washington. During the flight, Cooper suggested there was a bomb on board and demanded $200,000 in cash and four parachutes in exchange for the passengers. When the plane landed in Seattle, the 36 passengers deplaned and Cooper headed to Mexico City with his crew. At some point during the flight, Cooper parachuted out of the plane with the ransom money and disappeared forever.

This story remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in FBI history.

Documentary maker and DB Cooper expert Eric Uris joins Pat Gray on Pat Gray Unleashed to discuss who DB Cooper really was.

“The FBI investigated over 1,000 suspects,” Uris tells Pat and Jeffy, “and there were dozens of deathbed confessions.”

One of the most famous deathbed confessions came from Florida resident Duane Webber, who on his deathbed in 1995 confessed to his wife that he was, in fact, the legendary DB Cooper.

However, regarding that theory, Juris says, “It’s impossible in hell.”

“I don’t think the real DB Cooper is known to the authorities yet.”

Adding further mystery to the case, a cigarette butt found in the ashtray where Cooper was sitting on the plane was “discarded by the FBI” after analysis, and a hair sample found on Cooper’s seat was “discovered as evidence.” “Lost. ”

“It looks like they were trying to undermine this investigation,” Pat says.
