Appearing on FBN's “Morning with Maria” on Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) criticized Democrats for supporting funding proposals for areas affected by the war between Israel and Ukraine.
The Kentucky Republican suggested it was as if the U.S. was “funding both sides in every war.”
“So he wants to send more money overseas to address the border issue. His idea of addressing the border issue is really just to spend more money processing people coming into the country, Senator.” said FBN substitute host Jackie DeAngelis.
“Yes, and be aware that this bill would put more money into sanctuary cities,” Paul responded. “So in a city where they don't deport anyone, you can rape, murder, loot in some of these sanctuary cities, and if you're in the country illegally, they're not going to do anything to you. It just fades back into the woodwork. The other thing that this Ukraine bill does is this is $11 billion worth of humanitarian aid, some of which will go to Ukraine, but some of which will go to Gaza. It will be sent to.”
“And it's strange in a way that we fund both sides of every war, even though it's not clear exactly how much money goes to the Palestinians,” he continued. “You know, once Ukraine is destroyed, they will expect us to clean it up and repair it – same thing with Gaza. Gaza is being destroyed, but who will pay for it? Will they? They expect us to pay for it. And I don't want a single penny to go to Hamas or these people. Roku, I don't want the people who live in Gaza and what they mess up. I feel very sorry for the situation you are in. And I wish it could stop. But I don't think you necessarily have to pay for everything. Since when do we become sugar daddies of the world? What happened? We have to pay for everything.”
