Social Security payments will follow the usual schedule in February 2026. Benefits, mainly for older or retired individuals, are generally distributed on Wednesdays. For this month, those with birthdays between the 1st and 10th will receive their payments on February 11. If your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th, you’ll get paid on February 18, and for those born between the 21st and the end of the month, the payment date is February 25. Additionally, recipients who started getting benefits before May 1997 will see their payments on January 3.
A slight boost in Social Security payments is due to a 2.8% cost of living adjustment (COLA) that took effect in January. This means that, on average, payments could increase by about $56 each month.
