Which Gatorade color are bettors eyeing?

The Super Bowl Gatorade shower is a tradition like no other in professional sports.

When a winner is determined in an important game, the winning coach is stalked by his team members and a cooler filled with ice-cold liquid is thrown at him.

And the keyword is liquid.

Although it’s called a Gatorade shower, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s actually Gatorade drenched on top of the winning coach.

In fact, for four consecutive years from 2005 to 2008, it was water that was showered on the winning coach.

Below are the complete 2024 Super Bowl Gatorade odds. It is only legally allowed to bet in Washington DC, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Wyoming in the United States.

Purple is the clear favorite as it is the color the Chiefs abandoned their team last season, but this is the first time since the Giants in 2012 that purple has been the winning color.

Blue is rightfully the second most popular color and has been the most common color since 2012, appearing four times in this period, including two of the past three years.

Interestingly, the option without the Gatorade bus, which opened at 40/1 and was later bet to 30/1, has appeared three times since 2000.

The Patriots sat out in 2002 and 2017, and the Ravens withdrew in 2013.

It hasn’t touched down since the 2008 Giants shocked the world.

This betting market is clearly niche and many will say, “Do you really bet on that?”

Well, some people may be looking for an edge in this type of market.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet, so there’s no history to draw from.

But Shanahan took a small shower after winning his first championship as a head coach in 2017. If there’s any historical context for those looking to bet on a Gatorade shower, this one looks like water.

One bettor started texting every player on each team and asking them the color of their Gatorade so he could win a gift card and skip class.

“Hi, I’m a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs football team,” the polite information seeker said in an Instagram direct message. Posted in X. They did a school project where they had to guess the color of Super Bowl Gatorade, and the winner got a $15 Starbucks gift card and could skip math class. Any tips? thank you! “

Judging by screenshots of the chat list, he appears to have messaged most of both teams.

Anything is fine as long as you have money, right? Good try.
