Whistleblower Claims Alarming Conduct in Georgia Election Lawsuit

Recent whistleblower accounts have unleashed unsettling allegations aimed at former Attorney General William Barr, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, and former President Donald Trump regarding the legal battle over the Georgia election.

A Thursday report from Project Veritas highlights claims made by former journalist Patrícia Lélis. She asserts that Barr, during his time at Howard Stark Holdings, compiled evidence to “target Trump supporters and create a legal strategy to thwart his political resurgence.”

According to Lélis’ findings, which include handwritten memos and photographs, there appears to have been a covert discussion from 2021 to 2023 on legal actions against Trump and his supporters, particularly those involved in the January 6 events.

“I have all the meeting notes,” Lélis stated. One memo describes discussions held during a September 13, 2021 meeting, indicating the investigation would zero in on individuals connected to Trump with efforts to initiate formal prosecutions.

Her records indicate that Barr expressed a desire to target key figures such as Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Enrique Tarrio, and members of various groups, including the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys.

A memo dated March 15, 2022, reveals Barr was in talks with Willis and Special Advisor Jack Smith concerning legal strategies in Florida, Georgia, and New York. Lélis mentions that Barr anticipated FBI action at Trump’s residence soon after. This occurred when agents raided Mar-A-Lago on August 8, 2022.

On February 27, 2023, Barr allegedly advised Willis to consider Rico charges against Trump. In August 2023, Willis pursued indictments against Trump and 18 co-defendants, charging him under Georgia’s RICO law.

“Bill Barr mentioned to Project Veritas that we should have used Rico, indicating how difficult it is to protect against such a charge,” a sentiment that raises significant questions about the legal strategies at play.

Lélis has reported Barr to the FBI and subsequently faced charges from the Department of Justice. She has since secured political asylum in a private foreign country.

Concerns within the DOJ grew regarding potential cover-ups linked to Lélis’ allegations, with one official stating, “Barr ensured the entire FBI supported this woman and facilitated access to the documents she possesses.”

Currently, Barr is a notable Fellow at the Hudson Institute and a partner at the Torridon Group. Both organizations were contacted for comment, but neither responded, nor did Willis’s office.
