White House brushes off question about Harris media accessibility

Asked Wednesday about the vice president’s limited access in recent weeks, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said he was “proud” to speak on behalf of the Biden-Harris administration.

Jean-Pierre was speaking to reporters at his daily press conference when Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked him about Kamala Harris’ lack of media availability since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee.

“The vice president’s team isn’t holding press conferences. You’re not even her press secretary and you’re having to answer for her on everything. Aren’t you tired of this?” Doocy asked.

“As you all know, I am the White House Press Secretary for the President, the current administration, the Biden-Harris Administration,” Jean-Pierre responded. “It is an honor and a privilege to stand before you and serve in that capacity, and I will serve in that capacity to the best of my ability until the end of my term.”

Despite appearing on the cover of Time magazine, she reportedly declined to be interviewed by the magazine.
