White House claims a Trump administration official was physically attacked at the UNGA by a 'deranged leftist'

Trump Officials Assaulted at UN General Assembly Rally

On Thursday, officials from the Trump administration reportedly faced physical assaults by “disturbed leftists” during a rally at the United Nations General Assembly, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Members of the Department of Health and Human Services were in New York City to support HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the UNGA leadership team when the incident occurred.

Trump has criticized the UN, claiming it “provokes new problems,” particularly in relation to the heightened tensions during the UNGA speech.

“HHS officials were pursued into the bathroom, recorded, and verbally assaulted by confused leftists from the UN,” a spokesperson stated, emphasizing that one individual managed to bypass multiple security layers. Fortunately, the officials reported feeling safe after the assailant was apprehended, which raises concerns about what some see as a series of failures by the UN regarding security before Trump’s speech.

Kelly indicated to sources that the U.S. Secret Service would look into how such a violent protester could be recognized at a significant national security event.

“The UN needs to address why these kinds of incidents keep happening to the President and his staff,” Kelly noted.

A U.S. spokesperson expressed outrage, saying, “We’re furious that our delegation faced physical harm at the UN headquarters. It’s imperative that this attack is addressed immediately and that consequences follow.” They added that it seems the UN has lost its way regarding its objectives.

Additionally, they remarked, “How can the UN function as a global diplomatic center if it fails to ensure the safety of individuals within its own premises?” A spokesperson labeled the episode “unacceptable,” asserting the UN would fully cooperate with investigations into the incident.

Another U.S. UN representative summarized the frustrations with a blunt “enough is enough.”

An exclusive interview revealed the disturbing experiences faced by official staff navigating through the UN. One official recounted being chased while making mild comments, noting the unexpected violence and damning accusations aimed at them.

The official described feeling overwhelmed by confusion and fear during the encounter, remarking, “It was a surreal situation. I wasn’t fully processing the chaos until it escalated.”

As the harassment intensified, she sought refuge in a bathroom but was relentlessly pursued. She described an alarming moment where she had to hide in a stall to escape the confrontation.

The terrifying ordeal reportedly lasted around ten minutes, leaving a lingering sense of fear among those involved. “It felt very politically charged,” the official said. “It’s disheartening to think this hostility could happen at an event meant for diplomacy and dialogue.”

Fox News Digital confirmed that the individual accused of the assault has been arrested by the New York City Police Department, though it’s unclear whether they remain in custody at this time. The NYPD and UN have yet to comment on the situation.
