The White House was the target of a recent “swatting” incident after 9-1-1 received a false call that a fire was spreading inside and someone was trapped in the presidential mansion.

On Monday morning, a person familiar with the incident told the media that numerous emergency personnel were dispatched to the White House in response to a 911 call of “a fire and an unknown person.” [is] I was trapped inside. ”
President Joe Biden was reportedly spending the weekend at Camp David and was not at the residence or on the grounds at the time of the incident. Camp David was built by the Works Progress Administration as a retreat for the president, federal employees, and his family.
The call was placed at 7:04 a.m. ET and was then linked to a now-defunct phone number. A number of EMTs and paramedics from the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department were dispatched to the White House.
Sources said substantial DC Fire and Emergency response was already on the scene by the time the call turned out to be a false alarm.
“A fire has broken out at the White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” a dispatcher said. Said 7:04 a.m. ET.
Less than 10 minutes later, at 7:15 a.m., the situation was declared “completely resolved.” However, as of midday Monday, police claimed they still did not know who made the fake call.
Additionally, inside sources said Monday's false alarm call was quickly classified as a “swatting” incident, providing another disturbing example of an alarming pattern trending across the United States.
