White House highlights 'unfair' news organizations and journalists with new website

White House Launches Site Against “Fake News”

The White House has taken a stand against what it calls “fake news” by launching a new website aimed at highlighting instances where it believes news outlets misrepresent facts. They’ve even created a “hall of shame” for those they consider repeat offenders and serious offenders.

The site, titled ‘Misleading, Biased and Misrepresentation Exposure’, features major outlets like The Boston Globe, CBS News, and The Independent as the first “Media Offenders of the Week.”

According to the site, the media has “misrepresented” President Trump’s reaction to a video featuring six Democratic Congress members urging military personnel not to follow illegal orders—whom the administration refers to as “six instigators.”

The website states, “President Trump never issued an illegal order. Fake News knew it and ran the story anyway,” accompanied by links to articles that supposedly suggested otherwise.

Trump’s clashes with the officials in the video have ramped up, especially after he criticized them for suggesting their arrests in posts on Truth Social.

As for the “Criminal Hall of Shame,” it identifies several outlets including the Washington Post, CBS News, CNN, and MSNBC—now called MS NOW. There’s also a leaderboard dubbed “Race to the Bottom,” showing the logos of these outlets in a flashy way.

In another section, titled “Repeat Offenders,” a word cloud highlights various news organizations like Politico, the New York Times, and the BBC. By hovering over their names, visitors can see how many “violations” each outlet has, categorized into terms like “left-wing insanity” and “misrepresentation.”

Interestingly, users can sign up for an “Offender Alerts” weekly digest by providing their email addresses.

The site also features a collection of recent articles that allege bias from the White House, and it’s quite searchable by publication, reporter, or category—boasting over 30 articles at its launch.

Trump has been publicly at odds with the media since taking office, often expressing his dissatisfaction with their coverage. Just this month, he sharply addressed a Bloomberg News reporter during a press event, saying, “Can you let me finish my sentence? You’re the worst,” followed by an unclear remark about the reporter’s qualifications.

In another heated moment, CBS correspondent Jennifer Jacobs noted Trump’s explosive reaction to a question from a female Bloomberg reporter, where he told her to “Shut up, hush, pig.”
