White House makes telling admission about the razor wire Texas installed on the border: ‘It got in the way’

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday praised the Supreme Court's decision to allow Border Patrol agents to cut razor wire at the southern border because it was “a nuisance.”

Last year, Texas began installing razor wire along its southern border to deter immigrants from entering the country illegally. But the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision Monday, overturned a lower court's decision that The decision excited the Biden administration, which prohibited staff from removing razor wire unless there was a medical emergency.

Jean-Pierre told a news conference he was “certainly glad” the razor wire was removed before the government explicitly acknowledged the barrier.

“It got in the way,” she admitted, before claiming it “didn't work.”

“And that's what we have to remember is that it wasn't effective. And now this allows the Border Patrol to do its job and if there's a problem or a dangerous situation. “Border Patrol will be able to take action,” she added.
