This past Wednesday, the White House aired an anti-communism television advertisement named “America Will Never Be a Communist Country.” It debuted on Fox News and Newsmax right as Xi Jinping arrived in the United States for a summit.
Glenn Beck suggests that both the content and timing of the ad are significant.
He observes that the ad includes a series of images depicting “[Trump] with the people” and “in the Oval Office,” along with various clips of military jets and bombers.
Glenn states, “Trump is demonstrating that the people love me; I’m everywhere; I’m doing everything; I have a vast support system in the country. Oh, and just one more thing. I have the most powerful military in the world.”
In his view, Trump is “sending Xi a message”: “We appreciate you. You’re a wonderful ally. But we will never be communist.”
He further suggests that the ad seems more targeted at the Chinese audience than Americans, and perhaps even aimed at New York City’s socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
According to Glenn, Trump is intentionally showcasing American military strength. Just as he decorates the Oval Office with gold as “a display of power for the Europeans,” he’s making it clear to Xi Jinping that “America is robust, and Trump is not weak.”
He claims that China sees Americans as weak complainers.
“They perceive us as a bunch of whiners. … We’ve told everyone, including our enemies, that we lack the resolve for war. … You attack us with gas, and we’re finished,” Glenn remarks.
He points out Xi’s reluctance to engage in the conflict with Iran—leading up until the moment Americans began expressing concerns about gas prices, which he believes prompted Xi’s involvement.
Glenn speculates that upon Xi’s arrival in the U.S., Trump’s main goal was to demonstrate to him that neither America nor Trump is weak—despite what polls might suggest.
In his conjecture, Trump was relaying to Xi, “I’m indifferent to my 4% approval rating. I don’t care what rumors you’ve heard about our military. I have so much hidden in the mountains that no one even knows about, and I’m ready to use it.”
“He must persuade Xi to withdraw,” Glenn explains, indicating that China “is contributing substantially to our rising gas prices due to its support for Iran.”
Glenn believes that many are missing the connection between Trump’s anti-communism ad and efforts to reduce gas prices.
“So, when you see [this ad], just remember: that’s the president advocating for you at the gas station. It’s him saying, ‘I understand the concerns of the American people. The primary person responsible for driving those prices up is President Xi.’”
Trump’s aim, he continues, is to sever Iran’s “lifeline.” Despite it being China in the Oval Office, Iran is receiving an unambiguous indirect message: “You’re isolated. You’re on your own. I’ll dismantle you. And if I can’t end you, I’ll take you down one by one. You’re not going to survive.”
