Google AI product lead Jack Kraczyk said anti-white sentiment was growing after Google’s Gemini AI chatbot generated politically correct but historically inaccurate images in response to user prompts. It was announced that it had resurfaced.
Breitbart News’ Lucas Nolan reported:
new york postreport Google’s much-touted AI chatbot Gemini has come under fire this week for producing highly woke and counterfactual images when asked to generate a photo. Prompting the chatbot yielded bizarre results, including a female pope, black Vikings, and gender-swapped versions of famous paintings and photographs.
When asked, post Gemini created a photo of a Southeast Asian woman and a black man in papal vestments to create an image of the pope, even though all 266 popes in history have been white men.

Jack Krawczyk, head of product at Google Gemini, apologized for the inaccurate images, saying, “We are aware that Gemini provides inaccuracies in some historical image generation depictions and immediately We are working to fix it.”
Google issued a full statement on the situation, saying that the AI ”was off the mark here.”
However, Krawczyk appears to have shown prejudice against white people in his posts on X (formerly Twitter).
In a lengthy thread, Krawczyk claimed that many of his black colleagues face discrimination, including:
1) While my colleague was seated, the flight attendant requested my boarding pass to prove my Economy Plus seat (twice on separate flights)
2) Have a co-worker pull over to pick up his Mercedes’ expiring license sticker. The officer assumed it was my car and only spoke to me, even though I was the third (and only white) person in the back seat of the car. (This happened in New York City!)
Neiman Marcus, make sure we don’t steal anything. We were just killing time between meetings. (This happened in Los Angeles)
…
Needless to say, I have not experienced any of these things as a white American. They may seem isolated or petty slights, but the pattern is undeniable. There is obviously terrible racism in this country, but little shit like this is part of what makes it possible.
I wish I had a better answer for what to do other than get angry. My only approach is to say it out loud when it happens. Encourage people to be aware of bias. Please be a good and empathetic person and love everyone equally in America and the world.
“White privilege is real. Don’t be an asshole or act guilty. Do your part to recognize gross bigotry at all levels,” Krawczyk wrote. , concluded the X thread.

Update: Google has since announced that it is suspending the Gemini AI image generator after it created “inaccurate” historical photos.
“We are already working to address recent issues with Gemini’s image generation functionality. While we do this, we will pause human image generation and re-release an improved version soon. “We plan to do so,” Google said in an X/Twitter post on Thursday.
