Whoopi accuses RFK, Jr. of fat shaming, gets shredded on ‘Outnumbered’: ‘How stupid do you have to be?’

A Fox News panel reprimanded “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg after she accused President Trump's Health and Human Services Secretary nominee, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., of fat-shaming.

President Kennedy has spoken many times about reforming America's approach to food, especially when it comes to controversial ingredients. He has recently encouraged Americans to embrace healthier lifestyles and healthier food choices instead of using new weight-loss drugs.

“Most cases of diabetes or pre-diabetes can be cured with good food,” he said in a recent public appearance. “If they choose treatment with Ozempic, the government will pay them $1,500 a month for the rest of their lives, and part of that money can be used to provide everyone in the country with three organic meals a day.”

Goldberg didn't respond well to his rhetoric, telling “The View” that “this isn't just about food. People can be genetically born large.”

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg rejected RFK Jr.'s rhetoric about health policy and tackling obesity.

“You're trying to embarrass people,” she said to Kennedy. “That's what you're trying to do. You probably don't know what you're doing. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. You don't know, and you don't understand what They say they don't. It doesn't work for everyone, so when they say that, they say it to others.”

The talk show host said she weighed nearly 300 pounds less than two years ago, and claimed that without weight loss drugs, “this wouldn't have happened”, pointing to her current physique.

Panelists on Fox News' “Outnumbered” laughed and rejected Goldberg's remarks.

As a radiologist, Dr. Nicole Saphier says, “I see the inside and the outside of every person, and the truth is that the vast majority of us are created equal when it comes to the inside.'' He insisted.

“Now, Whoopi Goldberg was right when she said there is a genetic and familial predisposition to being overweight, especially things like metabolic syndrome, but RFK Jr. is also right. I'm sorry, but the truth hurts. Many “People do that.'' It has to do with lifestyle factors. ”

She went on to argue how eating cheap, highly processed foods is contributing to obesity in poorer areas.

“Unfortunately, the reality is that access to healthy food is simply non-existent, especially in low-income areas. It's simply not affordable,” Safieh continued. “They can't go to their local market to buy organic food. In fact, they're getting something that's highly processed and cheap.”

“Unfortunately, that traps us in a dangerous cycle of unhealthy eating, not necessarily because we're big eaters, or because we want to be in control of our health, our bodies, our lifestyles. “But that's what they have access to and what they can afford,” she said.

Fox News host Harris Faulkner read out President Kennedy's words that weight loss drugs are an option, but they shouldn't be your first choice, adding, “The first line of response should be lifestyle. Eat well. “And make sure you don't eat it.” And that they don't become obese. [weight loss] Drugs have a place. ”

“I don't remember Whoopi Goldberg getting mad about Michelle Obama's school lunch plan in 2010,” said Ian Pryor, senior adviser at America First Legal. I didn't.''

He said that what leftists focus on is not the “message” itself, but “the person who always delivers the message.”

“How stupid can you not understand that being overweight is unhealthy?” Fox News anchor Julie Banderas asked, citing the incidence of various obesity-related diseases and health complications.

“This isn't about fat shaming, it's about wanting a healthy America. America is obese right now. The number of overweight people in this country is astronomical. I remember what it felt like to be overweight and it felt terrible, so I can speak for people who have struggled with weight loss and yo-yo dieting all their lives, it sucks,'' she continued.

“I don't feel comfortable, but I feel much healthier. Go outside and exercise! That's what parents need to teach their kids. They're using iPads,” she says. , using an iPhone. “We're growing the fat of our future.'' To be honest, I'm not fat shamed, but I see a lot of overweight kids. I just think that's very unhealthy,” Banderas added.

“It's very unfortunate what they're doing, on 'The View' and other shows, all they're doing is glorifying these drugs,” Safie said. “It's a place where the people in the department accept it, but it also has serious repercussions.” And just last month, it was discovered that chemotherapy is not as effective for some breast cancer patients on drugs, so we need to proceed with caution. ”
