Whoopi Goldberg calls Trump-Zelensky meeting 'one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen'

“The View” co-host Woopi Goldberg called the fervent oval office meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky one of the “most embarrassing” exchanges she has ever seen.

“You know, it has to be one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen,” she said on ABC's “The View” broadcast on Monday.

“This is the leader of a sovereign nation and you're playing theatre with him. But I don't think anyone wants you to be a hard guy.

Goldberg suggested that those who voted for Trump may not like what they saw as the hot exchange aired on television on Friday.

“I don't think you asked anyone how they felt or who voted for you. You didn't ask how they felt about what you were doing. You didn't ask them if they wanted to be operatives in the Putin government. You didn't ask that,” she continued.

The company's accusations came after Trump assaulted the Ukrainian leader in his oval office on Friday, suggesting that Zelensky called US support “ungrateful” and that he had no “card” in negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Monday, Trump ordered a pause on US aid to go to Ukraine in the war with Russia.

Goldberg repeated her support for war-torn democracy as viewers praised her.

“And sorry, I'm standing with you, Zelensky, because you're fighting. Your country is fighting, you're doing it yourself, you get help, but I'm standing with y'all,” Goldberg said.

“Because no one can come to your country and say, 'This is my country.' ”
