“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg declared that he had no plans to visit the Kennedy Center after President Trump filled the venue's board of trustees with allies.
Goldberg's words were that “Hamilton” creator Lynn Manuel Miranda and show producer Jeffrey Sellers announced this week that they and their show will not be associated with the Kennedy Center.
In a joint statement given to the New York Times, both Miranda and the seller stated, “This latest action by Trump means that it is not the Kennedy Center as we knew it. The Kennedy Center was not created in this spirit, and while it is the Trump Kennedy Center, we are not part of it.”
In response to their statement, Rick Grenell, president of the newly minted Kennedy Center, wrote to X:
He added, “Art is for everyone – not just those who like and agree with Lin.”
The co-host of “The View” has expressed support for the “Hamilton” producer's move. Co-host Sarah Haynes declared that art should be a “place of such inclusion and celebration,” suggesting that Trump is conservative and meets the board.
Co-host Joy Behar cried out in a terrible quip about the venue's new leadership, saying, “I think Trump and Vance could appear in “The King and I” and “The King and I.” ”
“And I want to know who does Trump know? [Alexander] What about Hamilton? ” asked Behar.

Co-host and former Trump staffer Alyssa Farrr Griffin reminded the panel that Hamiltonians often made political statements after the shows.
In the wake of Trump's first election, the Hamilton cast spoke with Mike Pence in the then presidential election, following the show he attended. “We, we are a diverse America who are worried and worried that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents.
Still, Griffin said he doesn't like the end of the tradition. [The Kennedy Center] It's bipartisan. ”
