Actress and director Candace Cameron Bure said one of Hollywood's most iconic clichés not only offers bad advice, but is also unbiblical. The queens of Christmas movies made the remarks during a podcast conversation with fellow filmmaker Andy Irwin this month, where they discussed their work, inspirations and upcoming projects. Bure is appearing in two Great American Family films this holiday season. Christmas with fewer travelers and home sweet christmas. Neither, she says, includes lines that are common in countless Hollywood movies.
Blurred NG line: Follow your heart.
“One of them [the lines] Following your heart is always a really big theme in Christmas movies. Bure is Great American Family's chief creative officer, joining the company after a successful career at Hallmark. She said her role as an executive gave her more creative control over the film.
“Now that I've changed my career and been able to insert more faith-focused stories into some of my films, I always like to give a nod to what the real reason for the season is,” she said. said. “…That's very important to me. It doesn't have to be a big deal, but at least while you're finding love on the farm, let's recognize that we're celebrating Christmas because Jesus came.
