Republican former New York Congressman George Santos on Monday asked why Texas Congressional candidate John Huffman “was showing up to vote.” [Black Lives Matter] We will hold a rally in 2020. ”
Breitbart News reports that Southlake, Texas, Mayor John Huffman wants to replace outgoing Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) in Texas’ 26th Congressional District (Ruby Red District). Reported.
Huffman has portrayed himself as an anti-woke fighter during his campaign. But he also said he wants to promote programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
He also appeared to attend rallies in support of racial equality.
In a June 2020 article, Huffman said: It shows During a rally calling for “racial justice,” he was seen speaking at a pavilion in Southlake Town Square with then-Southlake Mayor Laura Hill (R) and others.The Southlake Apple Store and William Sonoma store are planked ahead of Black Lives Matter protests. Comments on social media suggested there could be trouble at the protests.Hundreds of people gathered in Southlake at the time to protest the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Santos said Huffman doesn’t appear to be a conservative.
“It’s hard to believe that 26 people in Texas support BLM and would want to vote for someone who attended a BLM rally in 2020. And now you’re claiming to be a die-hard conservative?” Ta. Or are you a fake conservative? ”
Mr. Santos continued, “Here’s the deal: You don’t live in Texas 26, and you support BLM.” Can you add that? Inquiring minds would like to know, Jon Huffman Mayor, who do you support as president?”

“Racism is real. It’s all around us and sweeping it under the rug doesn’t help” Huffman Said In 2018, after an incident in which students allegedly called out a series of racial slurs.
In response to the 2021 Candidate Questions and Answers Forum, he said: Said He supported former Mayor Hill’s Alliance for Unity and Culture and hoped to continue its “good work” as mayor.
The Alliance for Unity and Culture reportedly Created Programs and activities promoting “diversity, inclusion, and equity” were promoted by the mayor and city council, including Huffman.
