During one of her shows, she stated, “I’m not working for President Trump. I’m not paid by him, nor am I part of his White House. But I’m full-time ensuring the president is well-informed and protected.”
Claims of Influence
Rumer met with Trump recently, after which several national security personnel were dismissed—a situation she claims to be linked to her discussions with him. While Rumer asserts her involvement, the White House maintains she has no formal advisory role, lacks direct access to the White House, and that no further meetings are in the pipeline.
Known for her controversial statements, Rumer has stirred significant debate. For example, she controversially claimed the 9/11 attacks were an inside job and made headlines in 2018 when she protested Twitter’s ban of her account at their headquarters. Even within Trump’s circle, some view her remarks as unacceptable.
In the past, she was a prominent presence during Trump’s campaign and drew backlash for offensive comments related to Vice President Kamala Harris. Recently, she expressed criticism towards Trump’s administration while still attempting to align herself with his supporters.

Despite ongoing support for Trump, Rumer has also publicly criticized various aspects of his administration, including a disagreement with Elon Musk regarding skilled worker visas. Additionally, she took issue with Trump’s comments about the new Pope and expressed frustration over the administration’s international dealings, particularly concerning assets related to Qatar.
Rumer’s remarks, while made in support of Trump, occasionally raise eyebrows among more traditional supporters, particularly when she questions the qualifications of health professionals in his administration choices.
In the midst of this, Rumer’s passionate loyalty toward Trump shines through. Even while casting doubt on some decisions, she affirms her commitment to him, claiming, “I love President Trump. I’ll take a bullet for him.”
