Why Pamela Anderson stayed away from Seth Rogen at the Golden Globes and left early

Pamela Anderson made headlines as the first showgirl to exit the Golden Globes.

The 58-year-old actress shared that she wasn’t exactly excited to run into Seth Rogen at the recent ceremony, especially since he produced the 2022 miniseries “Pam & Tommy.”

This Hulu series dives into Anderson’s rocky relationship with her ex-husband, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, in the aftermath of the infamous 1995 incident where their private video was stolen.

On a Thursday episode of Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, Anderson discussed leaving the Globes shortly after presenting the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy to Rose Byrne.

Before heading home to bed, she spotted Rogen in the audience.

“Seth Rogen, he did it,” she said. “You know about ‘Pam & Tommy,’ but I found it all just a bit much. How could someone take a challenging period in their life and turn it into a series?” she expressed to Cohen, who is 57.

Cohen inquired if the “Baywatch” star had a chance encounter with Rogen that evening.

She noted, “He was right there at the Globes, and we had a close call.”

Anderson admitted it felt off to meet him since he was the brains behind a show that portrayed events from her life. “It just felt strange. I’ve been busy with work—five films last year—yet sometimes I feel down about things,” she said.

Still, she added, “It was awkward. I don’t know. I hope he reaches out someday to apologize. But honestly, it doesn’t matter too much.”

Cohen suggested that an apology might help, acknowledging the complexity of the situation.

Anderson elaborated, “People say public figures lose their right to privacy, but your deepest, darkest struggles shouldn’t be fodder for a series. That thought made me feel a bit better.”

She expressed her pain over how the series highlighted the most challenging times in her life.

Even though she wasn’t completely forthright with Rogen, she said she conveyed her feelings internally.

But, in the end, she concluded, “Everything is fine.”

In 2023, Anderson remarked about the series, saying, “I don’t want to see it. I’ve never watched the tape, and I have no intention of watching this either.”

Anderson’s marriage to Lee took place in 1995, but they split in 1998.

The couple shares two sons, Brandon (29) and Dylan (28).

Anderson has also been married several times, including to Kid Rock, Dan Hayhurst (twice), and Rick Salomon. Last year, she briefly dated her “Naked Gun” co-star Liam Neeson.

Meanwhile, Lee has had four marriages, including his unions with Elaine Starchuk and Heather Locklear, and has been married to Brittany Furlan since 2019.
